UT System Mentor Network

Background

The UT System Mentor Network seeks to combine experienced mentors/domain experts with UT innovators and accelerate commercialization and entrepreneurship in a scalable manner. Utilizing a proven team-based mentoring approach combined with customized software, the Mentor Network pairs UT ventures with a team of skilled volunteer mentors with applicable real-world experience. The Mentor Network compliments and promotes existing entrepreneurship programs at UT institutions and desires to deliver consistent mentoring sessions focused on providing timely, practical, day-to-day professional advice and coaching to help UT entrepreneurs build viable and scalable businesses. A pilot program was launched in 2017 with the MD Anderson Office of Career & Entrepreneurship Advancement, serving ventures from MD Anderson, UT Health Science Center - Houston, and UT Medical Branch - Galveston.
