Ms. Goonewardene is an experienced entrepreneur, having co-founded and served as president and CEO of Cantilever Technologies, a venture-backed software company that was successfully acquired. Prior to Cantilever, she was president of the Strategic Systems Group (SSG), a boutique information technology consulting firm, and co-founder of Technology Solutions (TSC), a professional IT services firm which went public three years after its inception. Ms. Goonewardene holds a Bachelor of Science with honors in general management and a Masters of Science in health communication both from Purdue University.
Gus has over 13 years of investment and operations experience in the healthcare/life sciences industry. His prior positions include buyside investing, corporate business development, and investment banking. He received a BA in Managerial Economics from Hampden-Sydney College and a MBA in Finance from Emory University.
Matt has ten years of experience in the life sciences industry with the majority of this time focusing on research and development. In the past four years, he has become involved in entrepreneurship and commercialization in the academic setting. Matt has a B.S. in Biology from North Central College (Naperville, IL) and a Ph.D. in Microbiology from the University of Texas at Austin.
Teresa has supported higher education executives for over 17 years. She received a B.A. in English from Texas Christian University and a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from the University of North Texas.
Mary has 15 years of project management and administration from large corporations, small business and various non-profit groups. She received a B.B.A. in Marketing and a B.A. in French from Iowa State University.
